Good locations for photo shoots in London

Location shoots are by far the best way to capture children naturally and we are extremely lucky to have so many wonderful open spaces in London in which to take photographs

I have used a number of great locations for photographing families and children, some of which are listed here but of course sometimes the best place for your children will be in their own home so don't feel you have to head out of doors. If the weather is nice though and your child/children are active (isn't that all of them!?) then outside is the way to go!

One of the best locations for this sort of photography in the area is Kew Gardens which is stunning all year round. Beautiful colours to play with, open spaces to run around in and magnificent plants and trees as backdrops. Have a look at their web site to get an idea.

Holland Park again has a large variety of backdrops and some great places for the kids to play in, wooded areas, as well as manicured lawns..well worth a visit as I've had a number of great shoots there.

Syon Park in Brentford is smaller than Kew but really gorgeous and less crowded

Regents Park There are some really gorgeous areas in central Regents Park especially for small children

Primrose Hill Very pretty especially in summer with great views

Richmond Park for the wide open spaces and deer spotting

Chiswick House grounds are beautiful and varied allowing for some really creative shots, and it doesn't cost anything to get in.

Other places that are great for photographs and are also free are Lammas Park, Walpole Park and especially Gunnersbury Park
