Richmond Family Photoshoot

For family photoshoots Richmond in West London has to be one of my favourite location with children and Pregnant clients.

Pros

It is a huge space, wild and mature, great wooded areas and lakes with swans and ducks.  It has rolling hills and fallen logs wich are fantastic for portrait photography.  This is a fantastic place for Sunset Shoots with a stunning lake which is usually empty at sunset.

Cons

It can get very crowded, especially at weekends, so it’s best to do early morning or weekdays to get there without traffic issues.

Times of year to do a shoot

All year around.  Fantastic colours in the autumn, lovely long grasses in the summer.

Logistics

There are a number of car parks in Richmond Park.  You have to be careful about using the circular perimiter road, you can’t now go all the way around it and it is very slow going at 20mph.

Best for

Wild and rugged backdrops, sunsets at the lake and moody misty shots by the stream
