These 3 gorgeous kids were part of my ‘freckles’ campaign, I wanted to capture children with freckles in a fine art setting, partly to make them feel special and partly for me to experiment with lighting and posing. They excelled themselves and were great fun. We even used the wind machine (aka fan!) for a bit of movement in an otherwise still studio. I think that Children’s portrait photography can be many different things and it’s great to be entering into a new genre of fine art with children having specialised in location shoots for children over the last 10 years.
Fine art will give a timeless artistic look that will stand the test of time and hopefully look amazing on your wall. Part of my aim is for children to be able to look back on their childhood images with pride rather than embarrassment. Here’s hoping.
